FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common questions from marine ingredient buyers.

Is EcoDelta's astaxanthin natural or synthetic?
EcoDelta produces only natural astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae — not synthetic astaxanthin. Natural astaxanthin commands a significant price premium and is the preferred form for premium nutraceutical and cosmetic applications. All batches are documented as natural-origin.
Is your omega-3 DHA/EPA genuinely fish-free?
Yes. Our omega-3 is sourced from microalgae — the same source that fish accumulate omega-3 from in the ocean. There is no fish in the production chain. This makes it fully vegan, allergen-free, and free of oceanic contaminants (PCBs, dioxins, heavy metals) that can be present in fish-derived omega-3.
What is the minimum order quantity for marine products?
Minimum orders vary by product — astaxanthin and other high-value products have lower MOQs by weight than bulk carrageenan or alginate. Contact engage@ecodelta.biz with your product of interest and volume requirement for a specific MOQ and pricing response.
Are marine products kept separate from botanical and waste stream processing?
Yes — by design. EcoDelta's marine intake and processing line is entirely separate infrastructure from all terrestrial biomass operations. This is a core design principle, not an afterthought, and is critical to maintaining the purity and cross-contamination-free status required by food and pharmaceutical buyers.
