FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common questions from botanical buyers.

What is ABS compliance and why does it matter for my import?
Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) under the Nagoya Protocol requires that companies using genetic resources from a country have prior informed consent and share benefits with source communities. EU Regulation 511/2014 requires EU importers to exercise due diligence. EcoDelta provides full ABS documentation — protecting you from regulatory risk in your market.
Can you supply standardised extracts to a specific active content?
Yes. We produce standardised extracts with guaranteed minimum active content — for example, harpagoside ≥8% for devil's claw, aspalathin ≥15% for rooibos, and mangiferin ≥20% for honeybush. Custom specifications are available for volume buyers.
Are your Hoodia gordonii products CITES certified?
Yes. Hoodia gordonii is listed under CITES Appendix II. All EcoDelta Hoodia products are supplied with valid CITES export permits from South Africa and are accompanied by the documentation required for import into receiving countries.
Do you supply organic-certified botanical extracts?
Organic certification is available for select product lines where our sourcing partners hold organic certification. Please specify your organic certification requirement when submitting your RFQ and we will confirm availability.
